Experience Ensenada with ATV Ensenada Tours: The City Adventure

At ATV Ensenada Tours, we’re always looking for exciting new ways to explore the beauty of Ensenada. We understand that some of our clients are short on time, with only a few hours to spare. That’s why we’ve designed an adventure-packed city tour that lets you experience the best of Ensenada without straying too far or getting dirty.

Our ATV City Tour offers a unique way to explore the town with nothing between you and the sights—just the wind in your face. We’ll take you to some of Ensenada’s most iconic spots, starting with a stunning viewpoint where you can take in the full beauty of the city. Next, we’ll visit a local beach, cruise down the famous strip to see the oldest bar in town, and stop by the museum where the Margarita cocktail was invented.

For those looking to enhance their experience, we also offer an optional visit to the Tequila Museum, complete with tequila tasting. To top it off, you can grab a bite at Lidia’s Taco Shop, the perfect way to end the tour. Please note that tequila tasting and tacos are not included in the tour price.

Hussong’s Cantina

Located in the heart of Ensenada, is more than just a bar—it’s a piece of living history. Founded in 1892 by Johan Hussong, a German immigrant, the cantina is the oldest bar in Baja California and has become a beloved landmark for both locals and tourists alike. Its rustic charm, complete with sawdust-covered floors and vintage décor, transports visitors back in time. Over the years, Hussong’s has attracted a diverse crowd of adventurers, sailors, and even Hollywood celebrities, all drawn by its lively atmosphere, authentic Mexican culture, and reputation for serving strong, well-crafted drinks.

Perhaps the most famous claim to fame for Hussong’s Cantina is its role in the creation of the Margarita, one of the world’s most iconic cocktails. According to popular legend, the Margarita was invented at Hussong’s in 1941 by bartender Don Carlos Orozco. The story goes that Orozco concocted the drink for a visiting German ambassador’s daughter, Margarita Henkel, who became the namesake of the refreshing tequila, lime, and Cointreau cocktail. While there are a few competing stories about the Margarita’s origin, many believe Hussong’s is the birthplace of this beloved drink, adding yet another layer of mystique to the historic cantina.
